Developments in the field of digital technology are happening daily at an incredible speed and unprecedented rate. How can we leverage the constantly changing data for Development, Entrepreneurship, Society, and Humanity? What are the real challenges in the digital age and what position and role is Greece called to play? What actions and collaborations must all involved parties develop? The questions are many, and the exchange of views is necessary and essential for the next step concerning the Digital industry in Greece and in every area of activity in our country.

Kyriakos Pierrakakis serves as the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and he is also a deputy in the Hellenic Parliament. He holds degrees in both computer and political science. He earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business, followed by a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Master of Science in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). From 2019 to 2023, as the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Pierrakakis implemented significant reforms that transformed the relationship between the state and its citizens. During his tenure, gov.gr, the digital portal for public services, was launched, consolidating over 1,500 new digital services—including the Gov.gr Wallet and the award-winning My Health app—streamlining procedures for millions of citizens and businesses, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of these efforts, he received an honorary award from the British Computer Society for his contribution to the country’s digital transformation and was appointed Chair of the OECD’s Global Strategy Group Meeting in 2021, a role he was re-appointed to in 2024. Mr. Pierrakakis leads significant legislative reforms aimed at establishing a modern, high-quality, and inclusive education system. The Higher Education bill empowers public universities through institutional and financial support, promotes their internationalization, and regulates the operation of branches of foreign universities. Schools are advancing into the digital era with initiatives like the Digital Education Portal and a Digital Tutoring Platform providing educational resources even in Greece’s most remote areas. The launch of the stop-bullying.gov.gr platform, stricter school regulations and the "Active Citizen Actions" educational program highlight the Ministry’s commitment to improving school safety.

Panagiotis (Takis) Dimitriou Theodorikakos is Minister of Development and Member of Hellenic Parliament of Athens B3 Constituency (South). He was elected in the 2023 national elections with 47.300 votes and was ranked second. He was Strategy and Communication Advisor to the President of ND since October 2015 and Coordinator of Strategic Planning and Communication of the party, from October 2016 until the victorious election contests of May and July 2019 when he was elected as Member of State of the ND. • In July 2019, he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of the Interior. • In August 2021 he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of Citizen Protection. • In June 2024 he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of Development. • He has a long professional career as Political researcher and analyst and Strategy Advisor. • PhD in Public Policies at the University of Peloponnese where he taught at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences till June 2019. • He was a scientific partner and president of the company GPO SA, from 2000 to 2016. He has presented important social and political research in Greece and abroad at scientific conferences, workshop and mass media. Graduated from the Pedagogical Department of EKPA. He completed his Master's studies at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of EKPA in political science and sociology specializing in electoral sociology. He graduated from the High School of the Ionidios Standard School. He was born in 1964 in Piraeus. He is married and has two children.

Dimitris Papastergiou was born in 1973 in Trikala. He graduated from the Polycladic Lyceum of Trikala and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA (National Technical University of Athens). At the same time, he attended journalism courses, while he maintains strong ties with technology and the internet, a relationship that was strengthened at the Multimedia Laboratory of NTUA. In 2001 he built and presented, together with a group of his colleagues, the first integrated website for the Prefecture of Trikala, 3kala.gr. Since 2002 he has been practicing the profession of Electrical and Computer Engineer in the city of Trikala. He was involved in studies and construction of private electromechanical projects and the creation of software programs. In 2007 he entered the field of renewable energy and has constructed more than 300 private renewable energy projects. His involvement in the community began in 2002, with his election to the City Council. He was re-elected in 2006, and in 2014 he was elected Mayor of Trikkaion and member of the Board of Directors of KEDE. He was re-elected Mayor in 2019 and, in the same year, he was elected President of the KEDE. He is married to the engineer Soula Brakis and is the happy father of Faye, Kostas and Nikos. From June 2023, he is Minister of Digital Governance in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Nikos Papathanasis presently holds the office of the Alternate Minister of Economy and Finance and was also elected (elections 2023), as a member of the Parliament. From August 2020-May 2023 held the office of Alternate Minister at the Ministry of Development and Investment (portfolio of private and strategic investments, PPP’s & the Just Transition Fund). From July 2019-August 2020 held the office of the Deputy Minister at the same ministry with the responsibility of the portfolio of Industry, Commerce and Consumer’s Protection. During his 35year career, he served as a C-level executive for large corporations with a successful track record in developing business plans, reorganizing and streamlining operations that led to significant positive economic outcome. He received his B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and his M.A.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering (University of Toronto), followed by a Masters in Management Science (University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada). He commenced his career at the DeHavilland Aircraft Company (Bombardier Aerospace) in Toronto while later he served as a member of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry BoD and executive Vice President of Olympic Aviation. During his professional years, he worked mainly in the private sector in high executive and C level managerial positions in companies in Greece and abroad. He managed companies in the fields of construction, real estate development to public transportation as he served as CEO in the Athens Line 1 metro rail system and subsequently Chairman and CEO in the Athens Metro and Light rail system for 8 years. From 2008-2010 he served as a President-elect of the Greek branch of the CEEP providing Public Services (CEEP). From 2017 holds the Chair of the President of the Institute of Democracy “Konstantinos Karamanlis”, a scientific non-profit organization. He served from 2016 until the national elections of 2019 as Director General of the presently governing political Party of “Nea Democratia”.
