In June 2024, she was elected President of the Board of the European Journalism Centre, based in Maastricht, The Netherlands. Her journalistic career is centered on new technologies, with significant contributions to both Greek and international press. She also hosts radio programs on ERT's First Program, consistently focusing on the same thematic areas. Dr. Kaimaki is the author of four books and has contributed to numerous volumes in Greek, French, and English. Her most recent book, A Perfect Post (2023), explores the social, economic, and political challenges arising from the use of social media. Academically, Dr. Kaimaki specializes in digital journalism, delving into niche areas such as podcasts, investigative journalism, data journalism, misinformation, artificial intelligence applications in media, social media dynamics, and European policies on digital transformation. Her contributions to academia have been recognized by the French government, which honored her with the Palmes Académiques decoration. She has held prominent roles, including leading the Greek delegation to the Committee of the Convention on Cybercrime (T-CY) of the Council of Europe, serving on the Board of the Greek National Centre for Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME), and twice presiding over the Athens International Science Film Festival.
